Plastic Pipes

Plastic Pipe & Fitting Systems

Plastic Pipes and fittings are made of Polypropylene Random Copolymer (PPRC) Type 3 having thermoplastic properties, and produced by by copolymerisation of propylene with ethylene.

The raw material has a high molecular weight, low crystal, high temperature stabilization and has higher resistance against temperature and pressure conditions than other similar materials.

It is suitable for conveying cold and hot water as required by applicable standards and various fluids defined in the TS 11448, ISO 7471.

The whole range is manufactured in accordance with International standards regulations.

The Plastic Pipes are certified by the following:

  • DVGW Certificate

  • TS 9937 (DIN 8078)

  • TS 11451 (DIN 4726 - 4728)

  • TS 11755 (DIN 16962)

In addition to the TSE standards, The Plastic Pipes have the ISO 9001 " Quality Assurance Systems Certificate".

The Plastic Pipes

  • Do not accumulate lime, resist puncture.

  • Provides insulation against electricity, and are a real insulator. They are also chemically inactive, and resistant against acidic or alkaline substances they may contact. They are made of a raw material named PPRC Type 3 which fulfills the requirements specified in the TS 11448 standard.

  • Have internal and external surfaces that are resistant to corrosion.

  • Have internal surfaces that are smooth, homogeneous and nonporous, and do not scale up with the accumulation of foreign substances.

  • Do not allow moss and bacterial growth.

  • Meet the instructions issued by the Turkish Ministry of Health, and certified by the Department of Hygiene to be suitable for potable water installations.

  • Have a higher linear thermal expansion coefficient than that of the metals.

  • Have operation pressure of 20 bar at 20 ?C and 10 bar 65 ?C, with a minimum life of 100 years under suitable conditions.

  • Under normal conditions, can be used for temperatures up to 70-95 ?C. They are not water absorbing, and highly moist environments.

  • Do not emit noise under high flow rates and pressures.

  • Do not need special insulation when they come into contact with construction materials such as cement or lime.

  • Are light, so that they can be easily installed and transported.

  • Are economic in terms of labor and time.

  • The PLASTIC PIPES ARE RANGING FROM 20 mm TO 75 mm are MANUFACTURED WITH THE ASSURANCE AND QUALITY GUARANTEE.

Operation Requirements

Main values that determine the behavior of all plastic materials are stated below;

  • Mechanic Effect = pressure

  • Heat shock = temperature

  • Resistance tp pressure = time

The relation between the values stated above is shown on the graphic.

Usage of The Curves On The Graph

After having determined the desired usage time of pipe (e.g.: 20 years) and the operation temperature (e.g.: 80 ºC), the intersection point of the vertical line that shows the usage time and the curve shows the permitted pressure value (?= sigma) for the temperature.

Example:

Usage time of pipe

=

20 years

Operation temperature

=

80 ºC

Outer diameter of pipe (D)

=

20 mm

Wall thickness of pipe (S)

=

3.4 mm

Operation pressure (P)

=

?

Operation pressure is calculated with the formula stated below:

P = (20*S*?)/(D-S) = (20*3.4*2.5)/(20-3.4) = 10.2 bar

This result shows the maximum resistance in a given time. In order to find the max. operation pressure, the value of the max. resistance should be divided by safety factor (f=1.5).

Maximum operation pressure:

Pe max = Pmax/f = 10.2/1.5 = 6.8 bar
